ISD Solutions appoints Mike Goodhead to head new Industrial Waterproofing Division

Gloucester, 26 October 2015: ISD Solutions, a leader in specialised composite panel construction and cladding solutions, including retail and distribution warehouses, cold storage facilities and data centres, has launched a new division targeting the massive industrial and structural waterproofing sector. ISD Industrial Waterproofing Division will complement existing projects and enhance the range of technical construction services offered to clients, architects and main contractors.

The company has appointed divisional manager Mike Goodhead to head up the new division. Goodhead brings over 32 years’ expertise in the waterproofing industry, ten years as contracts director at Brindley Asphalt, and has worked on some of the UK’s largest projects including The Mailbox in Birmingham, the Elephant & Castle regeneration in London and M&S Cheshire Oaks, multiple award-winning green developments.

Tony Wall, Managing Director, ISD Solutions, explained: “The roofing and waterproofing sector is highly technical and increasingly specialised with a growing range of advanced materials requiring skilled application and knowledge. The new division is a perfect match for our existing design and construction disciplines, extending the range of services we offer and we are particularly pleased to welcome Mike Goodhead to this new role.”

The new division will focus on industrial waterproofing installations for bridge decks, loading bays, car parks and associated works as well as commercial and industrial roofing projects; both new build and refurbishment.

Products will include the latest liquid applied systems, hot melt and mastic asphalt, ideal for flat, ‘inverted’ and CO2 neutral green and brown roof applications, as well as reinforced membranes, built up felt and single ply solutions, plus conventional slate and tile.

ISD Solutions waterproofing division will be able to offer a nationwide service for projects of all sizes as well as repair and maintenance contracts, covering in-house design, product specification and advice, access and installation, site management, CDM requirements, quality assured workmanship and guarantees.
