Four Industry Award Shortlists for ISD Solutions

Awards season is hotting up for cold store specialists ISD Solutions, which is in the running for a host of industry titles this autumn.

The company has been shortlisted for three categories in the annual RAC Cooling Industry Awards, alongside a nomination in the environment and sustainability category at the Temperature Controlled Storage and Distribution (TCS&D) Awards for 2019.

Presentations have been given to judging panels, and now ISD’s leadership team faces a wait until September to find out whether it has won.

The triple nomination for the Cooling Industry Awards are as follows:

• For the company’s ambitions to play its part in changing the culture of the construction industry, raising standards for design, installation and longevity, ISD Solutions has been shortlisted for the Contractor of the Year Award.
• The Initiative of the Year nomination is for ISD Solutions’ unique in-house design department, helping the company to coordinate its efforts with other parts of the building programme on varied projects.
• For the Retail Project of the Year award, ISD Solutions was nominated for its work with a leading UK supermarket chain, installing a giant freezer chamber in the Midlands – Europe’s largest, with a floor area the same size as four football pitches.

The sustainability, eco-performance and design credentials of ISD Solutions’ work this year calls on the company’s decades of experience – it has been designing and installing cold stores since 1946.

Earlier this year, ISD Solutions’ managing director Adrian Smith was among the first individuals in the entire construction industry to pass the new Level 3 Certificate in Passive Fire Protection from the Institution of Fire Engineers (IFE).
