Westmorland Farm Shop, Penrith

Westmorland Farm Shop is family run business, who pride themselves in their values. Working closely with Gloucester Gate Trust, they recently opened two new services in Gloucester. Their policy is to source only local produce within a 70-mile radius.

This project was brought to ISD by Creative Retail Solutions (CRS). The initial brief consisted of 4 individual rooms, two of which would be utilised as a main butchery prep room and meat produce storage room respectively, both rooms would have to complement the overall building and display the client’s products in an appealing manner.

ISD Retail Division supplied, delivered and installed a variety of temperature controlled compartments, within Farm Shop Services, located on M5 Junction 11a towards Gloucester.

A dual-temperature compartment was utilised as a butchery prep room and meat produce storing location. The client specification was to include high spec windows and glass doors to enhance the aesthetic appeal of the produce.  This was because the whole unit served as a retail showroom and the rooms would be the customer’s first point of view when approaching the butcher’s shop.

ISD has to assist the main contractor in all departments regarding the requirements of the rooms, whilst ensuring we maintained high attention to detail regarding the finish to both internal and external surfaces.
